Check out the web album for the pictures of our very first trip to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. We were able to go through a friend of a family member to get FREE tickets to Dinsey. We also were given oodles of Disney gift cards for Christmas. So, it cost us the gas to drive the two hours to meet up with family to explore MK for the very first time (well Daddy had been before).
The kiddos were all excited when we got there and were able to ride a ferry to the park!!! So fun!
We had a mission for the day - meet Cinderella. Abby just loves the Disney princesses and fairies. Disney makes it easy - there is a schedule so you know just where to go to meet the characters you want. We were able to meet: Tink, Fawn, Terrence, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel. The boys were happy to see (and not greet) Pooh, Tigger and Pluto.
Abby got her face painted and drove the cars with Daddy. We all rode the "Its a Small World" ride together. Also the train the goes around the outside of MK (three times). Cooper would stand on the bench after each stop and "woowoo" really loud with the train whistle! The boys loved the play area in Toon Town. Abby rode the carousel while the boys took a short 25 minute nap. That was about it for the day since we waited in line for about 40 minutes for the fairies, then for the princesses, then for Ariel and also for the cars and face painting. It was a lot of standing in line, but all in all Abby had a great time. Thinking best to take the boys again when they are a little taller and able to do more. But, I do think they enjoyed the things they did, but really wanted to ride the cars.
Hope you enjoy our pictures as much as we enjoyed out day!
Thanks again to Jeffrey, Matt, Devanie for hooking us up with the tickets. And thanks so very much Mander for the gift cards - the kiddos each got a souvenir and of course I got a magnet! You can use those gift cards all over the parks at any place that takes credit cards! So very cool.
